As a secondary school student, I had no interest in pursuing a career in teaching despite my passion for learning and academic success. I distinctly recall expressing my aversion to the profession, citing the perceived lack of respect from secondary school students as a significant deterrent.

However, my outlook changed during my university years as I began to engage in various volunteering activities. I noticed that I had a particular affinity for working with secondary school students, which ultimately led me to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Initially, my plan was to teach for a brief period after obtaining the qualification and then transition to a different career path, leveraging the skills I had gained. However, I have now been a DBS-checked, fully qualified educator in mainstream education for over 15 years, driven by my desire to assist young people in achieving academic success.

In recent years, I have successfully supported students in attaining premium results for their GCSEs. In 2022, 100% of the students I taught achieved grades 5 - 9 for their final GCSEs (of which, 42% achieved grade 9s, the highest possible grade in their GCSE exams). In 2023, 100% of the students I tutored (beyond the free trial) passed their final GCSE Maths & English exam; in 2024, 100% passed their final GCSE Maths exam. 

 

I take immense pleasure in helping my pupils achieve their academic goals. I have even diversified my services to include private tutoring in 11 Plus, GCSE Maths and GCSE English.
